PETER'S
POOL and Hofra z-Zghira (The Small Hole) are snuggled below high-ground
on the eastern side of the Delimara Peninsula. The sea is not shallow,
but it is exceptionally blue and crystal clear.
Swimming
is always off the rocks from elevated limestone ledges which have been
worn smooth by the lapping of the waves over the years. Access to these
places is by footpaths down the hillslope.
Cars
must be left on the highground on the Delimara Road. This slight inconvenience
is well repaid by the cool waters.
